AI can assist us with various tasks and, for example, help us create and structure texts. The content suggested by AI is then reviewed and adapted by our employees and supplemented with our expertise.
Careful verification is especially important when it comes to technical topics. AI provides a starting point, but our employees continue to ensure quality and accuracy.
Transparency in AI-Generated Images
AI also opens up entirely new possibilities when it comes to images. When we use AI-generated images, we label them accordingly. In this way, we aim to be transparent about how our visual content was created.
For us, therefore, responsible use of AI involves not only considering what is technically possible, but also ensuring transparency in its use.
Personal contact remains personal
Despite all our enthusiasm for new technologies, there is one thing that AI cannot replace at spo-comm: personal contact.
Some of our mini PCs are designed for use in AI applications—but when it comes to selecting the right system, addressing specific requirements, or working on concrete projects, our human mini PC experts are still here to assist you. So when you call us, you won’t be speaking with an AI chatbot, but with real people who know our products and can provide you with personalized advice.
After all, especially in the B2B sector, experience, consulting, and direct communication with our customers are key components of our work.
Artificial intelligence can assist us with many tasks and open up new possibilities. For us, therefore, it is a tool—not a substitute for human decision-making.
We are monitoring the ongoing development of this technology and constantly evaluating where AI can be usefully applied in our day-to-day work. One thing remains unchanged: At spo-comm, the final decision is always made by a human.
This year, the focus was particularly on high-performance industrial PCs, modern AI-capable systems and the consistent expansion of our new RUGGED tablet range.
New products: Powerful, future-oriented and practical
2025 was characterized by numerous product launches that not only expanded our portfolio, but also raised it to a new technological level in many areas.
With the NINETEEN Q670E, we started the year with a modern industrial PC that is based on the latest platforms and designed for demanding applications in an industrial environment. The focus here was clearly on performance reserves, expandability and future-proofing.
Another new addition to the range is the BRICK Pro, which combines a compact design with high performance. The system is aimed at applications where space is at a premium but reliable computing power is still required – a classic example of the combination of efficiency and flexibility. It is also the perfect mix of our RUGGED PCs and the mini PCs from the BRICK series.
Nevertheless, a particular milestone this year was the expansion of our RUGGED tablet range. With the RUGGED Tab 10 N100 Pro and the RUGGED Tab 10 i5 Pro, we have not only introduced two powerful devices designed for harsh environments, but we have also divided our outdoor tablets into Pro and Entry devices, which once again highlights the differences and hopefully makes the decision easier for our customers. We have summarized more about the differences between the Pro and Entry tablets in this blog article.
There were also important new additions in the classic industrial PC environment:
The CORE 5 Ultra is an example of the increasing focus on AI-capable platforms, modern processor architectures and how we are dealing with them. The system is our answer to the increasing demands on computing power, energy efficiency and future viability.
We rounded off the year with the launch of the BOX C475, which is the successor to the BOX N6211 (incidentally, it is the only product we have discontinued this year). The new BOX complements the BOX portfolio with its balanced combination of performance, compact design and versatility, making it ideal for numerous industrial applications.
Our focus in 2025: RUGGED tablets and AI-enabled computers
Looking back, the year 2025 can be clearly summarized: Many new products, a high degree of innovation and a significantly sharpened focus. The topics of RUGGED tablets and AI-enabled industrial PCs in particular determined our actions. With the further expansion of our tablets and the further development of existing product lines, we have set an important course for the future.
At the same time, we have further optimized internal processes and successfully demonstrated our quality management – including through ISO 9001 recertification, which confirms our high standards of quality and reliability.
We asked – “Michael, how would you summarize the past year?”
The answer sounded something like this: “2025 was a year full of challenges. The economic conditions were tense, but our team showed me what real motivation means. With passion, creativity and solidarity, we not only stayed on course, but also achieved new milestones despite everything:
We have successfully launched many new products on the market and also further developed existing product lines and made them fit for the future. Our new RUGGED tablet division has been further expanded and is growing rapidly, which I am very pleased about. We have also continued to develop our internal processes in order to work even more efficiently and customer-oriented, and we have also been recertified with ISO 9001 – still a strong sign of quality and reliability.
The coming year will of course be another exciting one, as we will be switching many product lines to more up-to-date platforms (CPU/DDR5 memory) and continuing to expand our RUGGED tablet range in order to establish ourselves on the market.
These successes are the result of our joint commitment. Thank you to everyone who has put their heart and soul into it! I look forward to actively shaping the future with you – with innovation, quality and team spirit!”
“Farewell 2025” and “Servus 2026” – a brief outlook
Finally, we would like to thank all our customers, partners and companions for their trust and cooperation in 2025. Numerous new products and successor solutions are already waiting in the wings for 2026. The further development of existing platforms, new hardware generations and the further expansion of our RUGGED tablet portfolio certainly promise to be an exciting year.
We look forward to the new year with curiosity and motivation – and look forward to continuing on the path we have taken, as well as breaking new ground together.

We met for our annual Christmas party on December 4 at the Bruderherz restaurant in Nuremberg. We started the evening with a cozy mulled wine and punch reception before trying our way through the menu together.
In between, we laughed a lot, shared little anecdotes from the year and, of course, talked about what 2026 will bring. The mixture of good food, pleasant company and a relaxed evening makes the Christmas party special for us every year.
Flexible working – our everyday life:
6:15 – 8:00 am: Early start and family time
Out of the village, into the historic old town – Patricia gets into the car at 6:15 a.m. to drive to the Nuremberg headquarters. Meanwhile, Chiara starts her day with a walk in Spalter Hopfenland to get fit for the day. Julia has already provided her two kids with breakfast, lunch boxes etc. and takes her little one to nursery at 8 a.m. – always on foot and occasionally followed by a jog.
In the morning with us:
Patricia spruces up her workplace, enjoys her first coffee and prepares breakfast.
Chiara checks her emails and appointments at around 8 a.m. – the first coffee is a must, of course.
Julia uses the quiet morning to get straight down to business.
9:00 – 12:00: Focus and teamwork
The morning belongs to meetings – whether in the office or virtually, most meetings take place between 9 a.m. and 12 noon. The entire marketing team regularly discusses current projects, new products, SEO/SEA and general marketing topics.
Virtual and face-to-face meetings on projects, to-dos and content.
Concentrated work on website maintenance, processes and content preparation and evaluation.
12:00 – 13:00: Lunch break according to individual rhythm
Chiara gets a dose of vitamin D in the fresh air and enjoys a quick lunch. Patricia eats with her colleagues on site – in good weather on the spo-comm roof terrace and every Thursday regularly at subway. In the meantime, Julia finishes her working day as soon as her older child comes home from school – her family afternoon begins.
Lunchtime with us:
Everyone takes their lunch break when it fits in with their daily routine.
Whether alone in the home office or together in the office – the main thing is that it feels good.
13:00 – 16:00: Creative energy in the afternoon
When the weather is sunny, Chiara particularly enjoys working on her terrace with a beautiful view, headphones and a good podcast. To-dos such as website updates or creating new products are completed. Patricia has a similar afternoon, with good music or a podcast to listen to and focus on. During this time, she usually devotes herself to evaluating content, creating/editing images and other to-dos.
In the afternoon with us:
We work where and how we feel most comfortable.
Structured to-dos and creative tasks with personal responsibility.
15:30 – 16:00: Time for closing time and private to-dos
While Patricia gets into the car and drives back home, Chiara slowly closes her laptop. Time for some relaxation and to do some private to-dos.
Flexible working is a privilege – and our everyday life!
Whether you’re an early riser, a commuter, a home office fan or a parent with a busy daily schedule – at spo-comm, work fits in with your life. Our collaboration is based on trust, clear goals and genuine flexibility.
After all, it’s not those who sit at their desk the longest who are productive – but those who are motivated, focused and work in their own flow.

Time for spo-comm Christmas party in December

Every year in December, the time has come: the spo-comm Christmas party was just around the corner. We spent a fun and contemplative evening together over a delicious meal at our headquarters.
To summarize, the fourth quarter and also the year 2023 were very turbulent, but also very productive and focused on a personal level with our partners and customers. All in all, we are satisfied with this year despite some challenges and will start the new year on January 8, 2024 with fresh motivation!
Christmas party 2023
This year’s spo-comm Christmas party took place at our headquarters in Nuremberg. In addition to conversations, Christmas music and games of table football, there was a delicious buffet from the caterer, where both meat lovers and vegetarians got their money’s worth.
This allowed us to say a fitting farewell to the past year together before we say goodbye to the inventory and our annual company vacation.

Marketing: Hi Michael and welcome to the annual marketing Q&A! How did the past year go from your perspective?
Michael Sporrer: Well, how did the year go? 2023 continues to be characterized by challenges and complications. But we have also achieved a lot of positive things. For example, we have already brought many aspects of our internal process optimization to a cool level, and I would like to highlight the product launch process in particular. In addition, our product management is now really well established, we have launched many products this year, introduced a new category with the RUGGED Tablet and have even more in the pipeline for 2024.
Marketing: You just mentioned that there were still some challenges this year, can you give us a more detailed insight?
Michael Sporrer: The overall economic situation naturally also has an impact on us, our customers and partners, which we felt in the second half of the year in particular. The shortage of materials is still an issue and causes high costs, although fortunately an improvement is in sight.
New products, ISO certification and strengthening business relationships
Marketing: I’m sure there were also moments or projects in 2023 that were particularly memorable for you. What do you immediately think of?
Michael Sporrer: Of course, I am particularly proud of everyone involved in the company, who put up with all the hardships even in such challenging years and give their best every day without losing motivation! The biggest highlights included the visit to our partners in Taiwan, where we were able to gather many new impressions and finally strengthen our business relationship in person again. But the launch of our new tablet PC product range, which everyone was so actively involved in, was also a highlight in 2023.
I am also delighted that we have once again received ISO certification until 2026. It simply stands for quality and certain standards that we meet.
Prospects for 2024
Marketing: Surely there are already plans for the coming year, right? What can you tell us in advance?
Michael Sporrer: Our customers can look forward to updates to almost all of our most popular systems, such as our CORE 2. In general, the topic of new products will play a major role next year, and we also definitely want to expand the tablet variety in our store. There will also be modular panel PCs as well as an entry-level series for more price-sensitive projects – all in the usual spo-comm quality, of course. We are also working on our internal processes to create greater efficiency.
Customer visits from all over the world
Marketing: On the subject of customer visits – we’ve just made a few changes there too.
Michael Sporrer: We want to make more and more virtual customer visits possible, both for existing and prospective customers, so that we can show our products even at a distance and talk to each other in person. As visitors, we are also attending more and more trade fairs to meet new partners and visit existing customers.
All in all, we want to strengthen the personal level with customers, partners and interested parties again.
Marketing: That’s about it. Thank you for your time and see you next year!
