As soon as the items are available, the shopper is notified and, after a brief authentication at the terminal, can collect their goods from the goods issue area. The aim was to develop a forward-looking system. High-quality technology had to be combined with a robust design in order to withstand extreme weather conditions, such as heat in summer or frost in winter.
