The successful WINDBOX III series has been in existence since 2010 and is a joint development of spo-comm and MSI IPC (MS-9A75). Thanks to its high performance, flat design and passive cooling, the series is the right solution for a wide range of requirements and one of spo-comm's bestsellers.
The new WINDBOX III Advanced (MS-9A75) is characterized by even faster and better performance. The Ivy Bridge CPU is replaced by an Intel Core i5 processor of the current Broadwell generation. This allows the industrial PC to run several demanding applications in parallel. To make the changeover easier for our customers, the price has been reduced: the WINDBOX III Advanced now costs the same as its predecessor.
Both models have exactly the same external dimensions, while the connections have been brought up to the latest technical standard. While the WINDBOX III Plus had two COM interfaces, the successor model only has one. The HDMI connection has been replaced by two DisplayPort connections. Together with the DVI-I connection, a total of three monitors can now be controlled simultaneously. The two audio interfaces have been moved from the back to the front panel. Instead of just two, four of the six USB ports now have the latest 3.0 standard.
Since the new WINDBOX III Advanced was launched six months ago, numerous models have already been sold. Our customers are enthusiastic about the increase in performance and the new possibilities, so that the further development can already be described as a clear success.
