WHAT’S NEW? New systems, exciting use cases, and fresh momentum from ANGA COM

23.06.2026

There has been a lot going on at spo-comm in recent weeks: with the BRICK Ultra and the WINDBOX II NX, we have added two new systems to our portfolio. We also attended ANGA COM in Cologne for the first time and gained exciting insights into the world of broadband and network infrastructure.

BRICK Ultra: Maximum performance for demanding edge applications

With the BRICK Ultra, we are expanding our product portfolio with a particularly powerful yet compact industrial PC. The system was developed for applications that require high computing power directly on site—for example, for AI applications, image processing, or data-intensive edge computing projects.

One of our current use cases demonstrates just how important high-performance hardware is in such scenarios: AI-powered quality control in production. Intelligent image processing systems are used to inspect products in real time, detect defects, and optimize processes. A powerful edge platform is essential to ensure that the necessary data volumes can be processed without delay. This is precisely where the BRICK Ultra comes into its own.

WINDBOX II NX: Ultra-compact and ready for networked production

With the WINDBOX II NX, a well-known product series is making a comeback. This ultra-slim, fanless industrial PC features state-of-the-art hardware, versatile connectivity options, and a particularly space-saving design.

Our current use case from automated production demonstrates just how versatile the system can be. In modern production environments, machines, sensors, and IT systems need to communicate reliably with one another. The WINDBOX II NX serves as a central edge platform, processes data directly on site, and ensures a stable connection between the production floor and the IT infrastructure. This enables faster response times, more efficient processes, and higher plant availability.

New Insights at ANGA COM

In early June, our colleagues Patricia and Maxim attended ANGA COM in Cologne. Over the two days of the trade show, they were able to hold numerous discussions, learn about exciting innovations, and gain valuable insights into broadband and network infrastructure.

It was particularly interesting for us to realize just how diverse the potential applications of industrial PCs are in this sector. From edge computing and network infrastructure to applications in critical infrastructure, exciting opportunities are opening up for our systems.
