With the BRICK Ultra, we are expanding our portfolio with a particularly powerful yet compact industrial PC. The system was developed for solutions that require high computing power directly on site - for example for AI applications, image processing or data-intensive edge computing projects.
One of our current use cases shows just how important high-performance hardware is in such scenarios: AI-supported quality control in production. Intelligent image processing systems are used to inspect products in real time, detect defects and optimize processes. A powerful edge platform is essential to ensure that the necessary data volumes can be processed without delay. This is precisely where the BRICK Ultra comes into its own.
With the WINDBOX II NX, a well-known product series is celebrating its comeback. The ultra-flat and fanless industrial PC impresses with state-of-the-art hardware, versatile connection options and a particularly space-saving design.
Our current use case from automated production shows just how versatile the system can be. In modern production environments, machines, sensors and IT systems need to communicate reliably with each other. The WINDBOX II NX takes on the role of a central edge platform, processes data directly on site and ensures a stable connection between the production level and the IT infrastructure. This enables faster response times, more efficient processes and higher plant availability.
At the beginning of June, our colleagues Patricia and Maxim were at ANGA COM in Cologne. During the two days of the trade fair, they were able to hold numerous discussions, learn about exciting innovations and gain valuable insights into the broadband and network infrastructure.
It was particularly interesting for us to realize how diverse the possible applications of industrial PCs are in this sector. From edge computing and network infrastructure to applications in critical infrastructures, exciting prospects are opening up for our systems.
